Why Not Have a Birth Photographer?

If someone tells me they did not have a birth photographer at their birth, it almost always comes down to 2 reasons:

1- They weren’t comfortable with the idea of it.

2- The cost.

Well, those are 2 reasons I can definitely understand!

If your reason is the first one, I would make sure you know that birth photography can show as much or as little as you’d like. The images can also be shared or not depending on your own comfort.

But if your reason is the second, I have some options for you!

  • Payment plans

  • Booking a Fresh 48 instead

  • Off-call birth photography!

Payment plans: The full cost of your birth photography package can be split into payments for the remainder of your pregnancy to make it easier to budget. While most people pay a deposit at contract signing and the balance around 36 weeks, you can split it into weekly, biweekly or monthly payments if that would make it easier on you.

Fresh 48 sessions: If it is the moments with your fresh new baby that you are looking forward to the most, we could book a session to happen within the first 24-48 hours to capture those first moments with your baby. This can be a big plus also for people that worry about how they would look in labour because we can ensure that you have the time to shower or freshen up before doing the session. We can also arrange to capture the moment where your older child(ren) meet their new sibling(s).

Off Call Birth Photography: Simply put, if I am available for your birth, I will definitely be there! But if I am unavailable (at another birth or have an important appointment that can’t be missed, etc) I will either come to you as soon as possible or we will do a fresh 48 session and book a lifestyle session within your baby’s first year. You can save up to 50% by doing it this way!

Is off-call something you are wanting to consider? Let’s chat!
