Cloth Diaper Curious?

If you are like me, your mom has probably told you all about the cotton sheets and plastic pants she put on you when you were a baby. Also if you are like me, that sound's way too complicated and not really like something you wanted to do.

When I first looked into cloth diapers, I have to admit I was kinda overwhelmed! There where so many options! Prefolds, pocket diapers, fitted diapers, hybrid diapers, all-in-ones, just to name a few! It can be hard to know where to even start!

When I first started using cloth with my second child, I heard all these names and had no idea what it meant, so I joined a Facebook group and saw all these different types of diapers and had no idea what I wanted. Luckily I had a friend that was able to show me different types so that I at least knew what I was looking for.

THEY HAVE PRETTY PRINTS, SOFT FABRICS, EVERY COLOUR OF THE RAINBOW!

They have pretty prints, soft fabrics, every colour of the rainbow and some WAHM (work-at-home mom) companies even do complete custom diapers, so you can get exactly what you want. Check out the Harry Potter-inspired diaper up top, it is a perfect example of the amazing work you can get from local business Fluffanutter!

As part of our Newborn Care Workshop we talk about the differences between cloth diapers and disposables. I bring along a bunch of different diapers so you can see and feel them and see what you like best.

Many people say that what holds them back is all the extra laundry! At first, there is a bit of a learning curb to get it figured out for your machine and with the number of diapers you have but since you just store them in a wetbag until laundry day and then wash, it is really only a couple loads per week.
